Fetos / Ferns

Os fetos pertencem ao grupo das plantas ditas sem flôr. No mundo são conhecidos cerca de 20000 espécies de fetos. Os fetos são considerados plantas primítivas que se reproduzem por esporos, uma vez que não possuem flores ou sementes.
Nas Ilhas Faroé, podem-se encontrar quinze espécies diferentes de fetos, dispersos por diversos tipos de terreno.

A folha miniatura com 10 selos de 900 oyru foi emitida em 22.09.2008.

The ferns belong to the group of plants named as flowerless. In the world are about 20,000 known species of ferns. The ferns are considered primitive plants which reproduce by spores, since they do not have flowers or seeds. In Faroe Islands, you can find fifteen different species of ferns, scattered among various types of terrain.

The miniature sheet with 10 stamps of 900 oyru was issued on 22.09.2008.
