They are not so many, but without you will not be possible.

Projecto 180º / Project 180º

Os correios das Ilhas Faroé, após muitos anos como instituição pública, tornaram-se uma empresa de capitais privados em 2005. Até aí, a atenção prestada aos cliente, não era a melhor e os atrasos na entrega da correspondência frequentes.

Em 1 de Janeiro de 2008,
Postverk Føroya iniciou o projecto 180º, por forma a melhorar a relação com os seus clientes.
Das acções já tomadas, destacam-se:

- O correio passou a ser despachado no final do próprio dia e não mais na manhã do dia seguinte.
- Criação de serviço de correio movel, capaz de visitar os clientes, com oferta de serviços de correio normal, registado, serviços monetários e entregas de produtos médicos.
- Criação de agentes postais, que não são mais do que pequenas lojas, onde é possível comprar selos postais, envelopes, caixas para objectos e proceder à expedição de correio. O horário de funcionamento destas lojas é alargado, o que permite uma maior comodidade para os clientes.
- Promoção do uso de selos postais, para franquiar a correspondência. Como acção, para o próximo ano, toda a correspondência enviada para os clientes, pela divisão de selos postais, será franquiada com selos postais e não serão utilizados envelopes do sistema pré-pago. De lembrar, que os envelopes com selos postais, têm um valor superior ao dos do sitema pré-pago.
- Máquinas automáticas de venda de selos auto-adesivos (ATM) – Post’n Go. Várias destas máquinas serão instaladas por todo o território.
- ‘Shopping Portal’ criação de um portal de compras, que permita facilitar as trocas comerciais de e para as Ilhas Faroé.
- Criação de um ‘Call Center’ aberto 24h por dia e sempre ao dispôr dos cliente.
- Serviços financeiros capazes de oferecer aos seus clientes as mesmas comodidades que actualmente só são encontradas nos bancos.

O projecto tem o seu fim previsto para 31 de Dezembro de 2010.

The post of the Faroe Islands, after many years as a public institution, has become a company of private capital in 2005. So far, the attention given to customer, was not the best and delays in delivery of mail frequently. On 1 January 2008,
Postverk Føroya started the project 180º in order to improve the relationship with their customers.
The actions already taken, such as:

- The mail came to be dispatched at the end of the day and no longer in the morning the next day. - Establishment of mobile mail service, able to visit the customers, with provision of regular mail, registered mail, money services and supplies of medical products.

- Creation of postal agencies, who are nothing more than small shops where you can buy postage stamps, envelopes and boxes to put in objects and dispatch them by mail. The opening hours of these stores is extended, which allows greater convenience for customers.

- Promoting the use of postage stamps, to franking the mail. As a consequence, for the next year, all correspondence sent to customers by the division of postage stamps, will be franchise with postal stamps and PP envelopes will not be used anymore. Value of envelopes with postal stamps is higher than the PP ones.

- Vending machines of self-adhesive stamps (ATM) - Post'n Go. Several of these machines will be installed throughout the territory.

- 'Shopping Portal' - creation of a portal for shopping, to facilitate trade to and from the Faroe Islands.

- Creation of a 'Call Center' opens 24 hours a day and always available to help the client.

- Financial services able to offer its customers the same facilities that are currently found only in banks.

The project 180º is expected to be completed by 31 December 2010.
