No período entre Maio e Outubro, os portões das cercas são fechados, para que a erva e as culturas cresçam, sem serem comidas pelos rebanhos de ovelhas.

Commemorative stamps, dedicated to the importance of secular fences, made of dry stones, which separates the inlying fields of culture from outlying fields. In the period between May and October, the gates of the fences are closed, so that grass and crops grow without being eaten by flocks of sheep.
