O selo de 250 oyru apresenta Niels Ryberg Finsen (1860-1904), único vencedor do Prémio Nobel das Faroes em 1903. O selo de 400 oyru é dedicado a Sir Alexander Flemming (1881-1955), Prérmio Nobel em 1944, pela descoberta da penícilina.

Commemorative stamp dedicated to the 1983 European famous researchers. The issue of the two stamps was on 06.06.1983.
The stampl of 250 oyru presents Niels Ryberg Finsen (1860-1904), the only winner of the Nobel Prize from the Faroes in 1903. The stamp of 400 oyru is dedicated to Sir Alexander Fleming (1881-1955), Nobel Prize in 1944 for the discovery of penicillin.
